Priyansh Arya IPL Mega Auction:
Many surprising players have been bought in the ongoing mega auction for IPL 2025. One such name was Priyansh Arya. Priyansh's name shone when he hit six sixes in a single over in the Delhi T20 Premier League. Delhi Capitals made the first bid for Priyansh, who had a base price of Rs 30 lakh. Seeing Delhi's eagerness, it was understood that they want a local boy in their team. However, immediately the Mumbai Indians team started competing with DC. Later the Punjab team also bid.
The bidding continued in the auction hall and the base price of 30 lakhs reached one crore in no time. Here RCB entered and joined the auction with Punjab. RCB bid 1.4 crores, which Punjab increased to 1.5 crores. But the bidding did not stop here and started moving towards four crores.
At one time it seemed that RCB will include Priyansh in their team and he will be seen opening with Kohli in the next season. But then Punjab entered with a bid of Rs 3.8 crore and made Priyansh a part of their team.
Recently, Priyansh Arya scored a brilliant century in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. He scored 102 runs in just 43 balls in the match played between Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. UP's bowlers included big names like Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Shivam Mavi and Piyush Chawla. From this, one can imagine what class Priyansh's batting must have been.
